Following up on the Easy Star All-Stars’ hugely successful reggae tribute albums Dub Side of the Moon (2003), Radiodread (2006) and Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band (2009) comes the New York-based Reggae Tribute Super-group’s adaptation of the greatest selling record of all time – Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

Easy Star’s Thrillah will be released in the UK on August 27th, 2012. A 16 date UK tour has been confirmed for November 2012, which coincides with the 30th Anniversary of the original album’s release. The band’s live show is legendary, and having performed at Glastonbury Festival 2009 on 3 days across 3 stages (including the Pyramid Stage), was nominated for a UK Festival Award.

Easy Star’s Thrillah brings back several of the reggae stars from previous albums, such as vocalists Michael Rose (Black Uhuru), Steel Pulse, Luciano, Mojo Morgan (Morgan Heritage), alongside the diverse roster of guests, including Yossi Fine (David Bowie, Lou Reed, Stanley Jordan), Joe Tomino (Dub Trio/Matisyahu), Andy Farag (Umphrey’s McGee), and horn tracks courtesy of Israel’s highly-acclaimed funk/hip-hop band Hadag Nachash.

The album will be preceded by a digital release of the Billie Jean EP on July 10th, which includes two album tracks, along with non-album remixes and a dub version.

The Skints are a reggae & dub band of upstarts from East London. They mix Jamaican styles with pop hooks, grimey raps, filthy basslines and a punk rock work ethic to create a sound familiar to newcomers, yet unique below the surface.

The band have toured across the UK and Europe with a variety of bands including Youmeatsix, Sublime with Rome, Reel Big Fish, Gym Class Heroes, Less Than Jake, The Beat and The King Blues as well as making numerous festival appearances.

The Brewery supports ‘Challenge 25’, if you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25 bar staff will ask for proof of age ID before serving you alcohol.
