More details about what the course covers:

Learn the processes of drypoint printmaking to create a card plate from your own design using etching tools to make marks directly into the surface of the plate. This will be inked up to make a print using the press. Experiment with colours and wiping the ink for different effects.

Tutor led demonstrations, discussion, example work and handouts will guide you through the processes to create plates, ink up and take prints.

Individuals will be supported throughout. Participants are encouraged to experiment with the emphasis very much on individual practical experience. There will be opportunities to discuss results individually and in the group.

No previous experience is needed. This is a Taster session designed to introduce printmaking techniques
