If you love your house music and soul and have tried the odd yoga pose, this 2 hour vinyl delight of yoga is just for you. DJ Gabe spins his magic on the decks while yoga teacher TJ teaches the poses alongside the soulful bass vibes. Suitable for all.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
Beginning with a slow, cool sound from the decks, TJ will demonstrate the basics and safety of each pose. Gradually building up the heat, the vibe and the energy, we will peak in the middle for a few classic tunes and asanas. Slowing it right down, we’ll move closer to our mats for the soulful vibes to take you into the most blissful relaxation.
This deep house yoga workshop will cover all the basic teaching points for each yoga pose and is suitable for everyone. If you have never done yoga before, it’s a good session to come along to. The lights will be low and you’ll find yourself absorbed by the magic and music.
Tell us about any injuries, creeks or croaks you have either by email or before the class. Following a deep house sesh, you will feel as tall as a tree, strong as a warrior and have the blissful freedom of an eagle.
What do I need to bring with me?
Deep house yoga will have you chilling, moving, stretching and chilling again. Wear whatever makes you smile, move and stretch. Deep house yogis turn up in gym gear, sports kit or yoga pants. Also bring along your fave, cosy, warm sweater to get snuggly in your savasana. Bring along a yoga mat if you have one, although panic not if you don’t, we have a stash of them.

About the tutor
Since the early 90’s, Gabe’s passion of spinning house music on his 1210’s, has taken him from bedroom DJ to house in the groove private studio sets. Gabe now gigs regularly at parties and is resident DJ at Omiswheretheheart is. Mix this with TJ’s lifelong yoga journey (which started in a chilly Witherslack village hall at the age of 8), intrigue about human body, mind and soul, and you have a happy houseful of super-powered yogis.
