In this practical workshop Dan Berry explores the challenges of creating comics and working with stories. It examines the motivations of characters, introducing scenes and creating satisfying narratives alongside some of the technical considerations of creating comics. Written and drawn live by Dan with input from the audience, this engaging and interactive workshop is never the same twice.
Dan Berry is a comic artist, writer, illustrator, designer, lecturer, podcaster and occasional animator. His latest book The Suitcase is published by Blank Slate Books. He lectures in graphic novels at Glyndwr University in North Wales and has self published a number of books including the 24h comic Cat Island, After We Shot The Grizzly and Hey You! He is the host of the podcast Make It Then Tell Everybody. He lives in Shrewsbury with his wife and children.
