Using short writing exercises we’ll explore dialogue, making characters sound realistic and different from each other. Whether you’re writing a script, novel or short story these exercises will bring even more life to your characters and give them something to say.
Important Information
You will need access to the internet and Zoom. The Zoom link, meeting ID and passcode will be on your e-ticket, this will be emailed to you after booking. The room will open at 6.20pm for a 6.30pm start.

About the tutor
Ann Grant is a writer based in Kendal. She’s known for writing poetry, drama and song lyrics. Her drama scripts have been performed for BBC Radio Cumbria Shakespeare season, The Dukes, The Ashton Group Theatre Factory, Paines Plough, Brewery Youth Arts and Alligators. She’s the host of Verbalise monthly spoken word open mic at the Brewery, currently on Zoom.

Audio Description (AD) is available in Screen 1. Infrared audio system is available in both Cinema Screens 1 and 2. Induction loops (T) are in place in the Theatre, please ask for assistance on the door.
Some live events may carry strict age restrictions, these are outlined on our website. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times during evening events.
