Contemporary Dance classes develop skills in contemporary dance, building techniques, whilst focussing on creativity. Be part of a fun and exciting group, with opportunities to perform on stage and elsewhere with your friends. A step up from our younger “Creative Dance” class.

Important Information
CAT Outreach Workshop – Tuesday 26th April 5-7:30pm
Contemporary Dance and Brewery Youth Dance (Tuesday classes) will be taking part in a CAT Outreach Workshop (Centre for Advanced Training in Dance) in the first session of the summer term. We will be combining the groups for this workshop, which will mean that the time for your first class back will be different to usual. The workshop will run from 5-7:30pm on Tuesday 26th April, and will be an exciting opportunity to learn from a different Dance Artist. Please bring plenty of water and a snack to help fuel you for this longer session. After this week you will attend at the usual time for your 1.5hrs Brewery Youth dance class. Please also note there are no classes during the week beginning 30 May.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please come ready to dance in comfortable clothes that you can move in, long hair should be tied back and jewellery removed. Bring your own water in a bottle.

About the tutor
A previous Brewery Youth Dance member, Emily has been delivering sessions at The Brewery as well as other settings, since gaining her Dance degree in 2016. She enjoys sharing her love of dance with those she teaches. Emily’s style of movement is grounded in contemporary technique, creative dance and connecting with people, be that in the studio or with an audience.

Audio Description (AD) is available in Screen 1. Infrared audio system is available in both Cinema Screens 1 and 2. Induction loops (T) are in place in the Theatre, please ask for assistance on the door.
Some live events may carry strict age restrictions, these are outlined on our website. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times during evening events.
