Brewery Poets host three first-rate, widely published North-west poets –

Andrew Forster has published three collections of poetry:  Fear of Thunder  (shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection in 2008), 

Territory which focuses on Leadhills, a tiny village in South West Scotland, and Homecoming which explores his settling in Cumbria after 

20 years in Scotland.   Andrew won a Northern Writers' Award in 2014, and is Literature Officer for the Wordsworth Trust.

Jane Routh has published three full collections of poetry:  Circumnavigation was shortlisted for a Forward Prize for Best First Collection;   Teach Yourself

Mapmaking  was a Poetry Book Society recommendation, and the title poem of The Gift of Boats won the Academi Cardiff International Poetry Competition.

Her most recent publication, Falling into Place, celebrates work, wildlife and weather in north-west England. Jane will be including a few poems from her new pamphlet  The White Silence,  about the north-west passage through the Arctic.

Ron Scowcroft a founder member of Lancaster-based April Poets, will be reading from his new pamphlet 'Moon Garden'.

Winner of the McLellan Award (joint first 2013), Highly Commended in the Yorkshire Open (2012) and by Magma (2012), 

shortlisted for the National Poetry Competition in 2013, Ron is widely published in magazines and anthologies.

Music – Ulverston duo 'Demix' will be playing the folk/jazz at this event – a first for Brewery Poets!
