Tutor Tim Murray | 10.30am – 4.30pm | £63
An introduction to the exciting world of black and white street photography. This practical workshop includes capturing images, processing film and developing prints in our darkroom.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
This is a practical and creative course. In the morning we will start by looking at what makes a great image and discuss the basics of film photography. You will then head out into the streets of Kendal to shoot a roll of film and capture images in this busy Lakeland town. A chance to look at the world in a new and exciting way!
The afternoon will be spent in the Brewery’s own darkroom processing your film and developing prints. You will experience the magic of film photography from start to finish!
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring a film camera if you have one…..we can provide one if not. A basic understanding of aperture and shutter speed is helpful but not essential. Film and photographic paper will be provided. Lunch is not provided so be prepared to eat on the move!
Are there any additional costs?
You will have time to develop one or two of your best pictures on the workshop. The Brewery Darkroom can be booked at other times if you wish to put what you’ve learnt into practice. Further details will be provided on the day.
