Fourteen year-old Arrietty Clock lives with her parents in a house in suburban Tokyo. Or rather, they live secretly beneath the floorboards of that house, as they are Borrowers: tiny people who scavenge off the unwanted scraps left by the “human beans”. Their precarious life is sent into disarray when the house receives a visitor, sick 12 year-old Sho, and he catches a glimpse of Arrietty…
