Spanish Advanced: Getting to know Spain is a course for those who can hold a conversation in Spanish and would like to converse more freely about history, art, culture, social events, economic issues and Spanish politics today.

What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
We will split the teaching time into listening exercises, conversation & games activities to develop your oral skills and reading tasks with more grammatical structures covered in a light-hearted and enjoyable approach. We will work with grammar, reading & writing exercises at home. The topics covered will be around the issues of today, in Spain or around the world.
Students will be encouraged to develop all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Your tutor will discuss the course content with the class and may make some adjustments to the syllabus based on the needs of the group. She will also try to accommodate individual requirements where possible.
Important Information
Please note there are no classes during weeks beginning 25 October and 15 November.

About the tutor
Pilar Valera graduated in Politics and has taught for more than 20 years from beginners to advance level, exam and non-exam courses and a range of ages and abilities.
She is from Madrid and although she lives here she runs study breaks in Spain for adults and summer courses for children.
