This course aims to get a better understanding of what makes people tick in Spain and to improve your grammar & the other 4 skills: We use Spanish in conversation, reading & listening while looking at historical, cultural, political and up to day issues of contemporary Spain. You will also have to write some texts.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
Grammatical structures will be covered in a light-hearted and enjoyable approach to Spanish with students encouraged to develop all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) We will also cover some history, social events, the economic issues and politics of Spain today.

Autumn term: 21 to 25 October & 11 to 17 November 201
Spring term: 17 to 21 February

About the tutor
Pilar Valera graduated in Politics and has taught for more than 20 years from beginners to advance level. Exam and non-exam courses and a range of ages and abilities. She is from Madrid and although she lives in Kendal she runs study-breaks in Spain for adults and summer courses for children.
