A MAESTRO DRAWS

Festivals |
18th October 2014

1.45-2.45 Venue: BAC Screen 2

The festival is honoured to welcome Dutch graphic designer and artist Joost Swarte who is a giant of European cartooning. He is best-known for his Ligne Claire, or clear line style of drawing, and in fact coined the term. He is sometimes referred to as the “heir” of Tintin. Chris Ware (Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth and Building Stories) said “to watch Joost draw is to fall into a sort of trance of witnessing pure creation”. Come along and find out why.
