The legendary Lew Stringer brings his Blimey! blog to the Lakes with a specially-created hour- long romp through the history of British humour comics, Lew will take you from Ally Sloper to Toxic, with selected images from the comics your ancestors read and show how they've influenced the comics of today.
Lew Stringer has been working in British comics for more than 30 years, writing and drawing strips for the Beano, Buster, Oink!, Spider-man, Viz, Sonic the Comic, Toxic, Tellytots and many more. Amongst his creations are Combat Colin, Brickman, Derek the Troll, Tom Thug, Pete and his Pimple and Suburban Satanists. Who better to offer you 100 years of fun in 60 minutes?
