Three acclaimed operatic soloists come together for this year’s KADGASS performance of Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore.

The role of common sailor Ralph Rackstraw is played by strong tenor Peter Bowden who studied at The Royal Northern College of Music. His opera credits include Alfredo in La Traviata as well as several leading roles with Musica Lirica Opera and New Rosemere G&S.

Ralph is in love with, and loved by, Captain Corcoran’s daughter, Josephine, portrayed by Emily Robinson, soprano, whose wide repertoire is well known in the musical community of the South Lakes area.

Their powerful voices combine to produce spine tingling moments of romance and longing.

Also appearing is Jenny Brooks, a KADGASS regular, who starred as ‘Evita’ in the acclaimed KAOS production last year. She plays ‘Little Buttercup’ whose storyline is key to the twist that brings about the eventual resolution of the plot.

Completing the strong cast are Graham Beevers as Sir Joseph Porter KCB, Keith Hildrew as Captain Corcoran, Jim Thompson as Dick Deadeye, Stella Coxon as Cousin Hebe and Iain Lamb as the Boatswain.

The event is suitable for all.
Running time is 2hrs 30mins.

Venue: Kendal Town Hall, Kendal LA9 4DL
