Please note that there are two meeting places on offer for this walk:

Meeting Place Option 1: Kendal Town Hall for a minibus pickup to the start
Meeting Place Option 2: Holehird Gardens car park (free parking)

Meeting Time: Friday 8th May at 10:00am at Kendal Town Hall, or meet at 10:30am at Holehird Gardens, Patterdale Road, Windermere, LA23 1NP

Equipment: Walking shoes, waterproofs and a packed lunch – tea and coffee available in the gardens

Dogs: Sorry, no dogs allowed in the gardens

Max No People: 14 on minibus, 14 own transport.

Cost Option 1: £6.00 including mini bus + donation to Lakeland Horticultural Society
Cost Option 2: £3.00 + donation and make your own way to Holehird. Free car parking available at Holehird.

Description: A walk on field paths through quiet hamlets to Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright began his love affair with the Lake District mountains. Returning to Holehird for a guided tour of the magnificent hillside gardens.
