Walk: A wildlife focussed hike

Duration: 5 hours including lunch break with loos in Cumbria Wildlife Trust wildlife gardens
Distance / Ascent: 6.5miles/10.5km 1100ft/350m
Grading: Moderate
Description: A wildlife focussed hike over farmland, open fell, woodland and two Wainwrights (outlying fells). Occasionally muddy, steep terrain. Highlights include excellent views, wildlife, limestone and woodland habitats.
Meeting Place: The green opposite the Riflemans Public House at the top of Beast Banks, Kendal
Meeting Time: Sunday 13th May at 10:20am for a 10:30am start
Leader / Organisation: Jamie Normington and David Harpley / Cumbria Wildlife Trust
Equipment: Walking boots, suitable clothing, packed lunch (tea / coffee facilities available at CWT Wildlife Garden), camera
Dogs: Sorry – no dogs allowed
Max No People: 20
