Description: Starting from Kendal College the walk heads south along the banks of the River Kent, before turning westwards to Sizergh Castle and Helsington Church. From there the walk heads across to Helsington Laithes and on to finish back in Kendal. National Trust members (and others on payment of the entrance fee) may wish to terminate their walk at Sizergh (approximately half way) to spend time viewing the castle. They will then need to catch the 15:06 bus to Kendal from the bus stop 1 mile away on the A590 (directions will be provided).
