Duration: 5 hours including an hour at Gurnal Dubs for a circular walk round the tarn and a picnic. Optional stop over on return at cafe in Staveley.

Meeting Time: Saturday 9th May at 9:35 am for 9:44 am train – buy tickets on the train. The return train leaves at 16:06 and arrives in Kendal at 16:14 (or 15:14 for speedy walkers). There are also buses back to Kendal.

Description: We travel by train to Burneside where we pick up the Dales Way northwards, along a pretty stretch of the River Kent, through flowery meadows. We then climb steadily up and over to Gurnal Dubs for a picnic lunch. On our descent to Staveley there is an optional 1km extension through Craggy Woods (dens and swings for the children).
All our ticket prices include a 50p commission; whether booking online, on the phone or at the counter. This fee helps us continue to fund our diverse programme. Creative learning classes & workshops are exempt.
