Dance Artist Call Out: Dance Platform 2022
Published 7 December 2022
Please note, the deadline for Dance Artist applications has now passed.
Brewery Arts has a vibrant programme of film, live music, theatre, creative learning and more, delivered from our iconic venue in Kendal.
We are currently looking to widen our team of freelance dance practitioners to help us facilitate working with young people, both at the Brewery and in the community. For our upcoming project, practitioners would be partnered with schools in the South Lakes area to deliver creative dance workshops, focussing on the creation of a curriculum themed dance piece, to be performed at our Schools Dance Platform event in late March 2022. Practitioners would need to be available from late January/early February 2022. Following the successful delivery of the project, there may be further opportunities to work with Brewery Arts on future programmes.
We particularly welcome applications from those underrepresented in the arts and creative industries, including people who are black, brown or marginalised.
Practitioners will need to have a current DBS check (within the last 2 years) or be willing to undertake one.
How to apply
- a cover letter stating why you would like to join our pool of freelance dance practitioners and your availability for involvement with Brewery Arts Schools Dance Platform from mid-January 2022 onwards.
- a CV with full contact details and an outline of your relevant artistic and facilitation/teaching practice
- contact details of two referees
In addition, you are welcome to show examples of your work by sending up to 5 images, web links or film.
Please submit the above information via email by 10am on Tues 14 Dec 2021 to Emily Davies.
