Kendal based artist Annie Coxey will be exhibiting in the Sugar Store Gallery from 3rd March to 22 April and we are excited to announce that she will be running a one day workshop to coincide with her new exhibition.
Inspired by the countryside around her and by her life experiences. Annie’s work involves a balancing act between chaos and control of the materials. She makes mixed media paintings using stitch, collage, resin, inks, oil bars and acrylic paints and is fascinated with maps, connections, cells and vintage images related to the past. Much of the work involves layering and stripping back layers to reveal hidden textures and colours,
