Many people are not aware that the Brewery Arts Centre is a charity and we need to generate our own funds to continue offering our high quality and diverse arts and learning programme.
It may also come as a surprise to know that 90% of our income is self generated. It is our visitors, performances, cafes' and bars and our own fundraising efforts that keep us going.

WE HAVE NOW PURCHASED NEW SEATING FOR THE THEATRE WHICH WILL BE FITTED IN THE SUMMER - THANK YOU!. ONLY £8,000 TO GO AND WE CAN COMPLETE OUR FULL PROGRAMME OF UPGRADING THE BREWERY'S PERFORMANCE SPACES
In 2012, as part of our 40th Anniversary, we are aiming to raise £80,000 to help maintain the Brewery and also to develop a comfortable, attractive and well equipped venue in which people and performers can continue to experience the arts at the highest level.
Any donations we receive will directly help to:
- Install spacious new seats in the theatre
- Improve heating. ventilation and lighting throughout the Brewery
- Upgrade the Malt Room furniture
- Lay new carpets
- Improve technical facilities
- Replace ageing lighting equipment
