Over the course of the past 40 years, the Brewery Arts Centre has hosted thousands of live music performances as part of it's core offering.
Highly regarded throughout the music world, the Brewery is a regular stop on their gig 'circuit' and no tour of the UK would be complete without a night in Kendal.
There is always a busy and eclectic programme of contemporary, folk, rock, jazz, blues and classical music on offer, with something to appeal to all audiences. Over the years, we have been incredibly fortunate to be able to attract some of the biggest names music including Patti Smith, Robert Plant, Billy Bragg and Jools Holland, to name just a few.
The Malt Room at the Brewery has also seen performances from local bands who have gone on to achieve national and international acclaim, including Wild Beasts and British Sea Power.
Our music is programmed in conjunction with Manchester's Band on the Wall, one of the leading independent venues in the UK, with Mike Chadwick taking the role in charge of music programming.
